MANAGERS SHOULD SPEND MORE TIME WITH THEIR PEOPLE: That is the conclusion from a recently published survey by McKinsey, which found managers only spend about 28% of their time managing their employees. They spend 18% of their time on administrative tasks, 23% on strategy-focused work, and 31% on individual-contributor work. The conclusion: talk to your people more.
